Nostalgia is in, re-creating core summer memories from childhood is fueling how we spend our time off whether at home catching fireflies, catching a movie at Haars Drive In, or on our most recent family roadtrip to Mystic CT, aka the setting for the iconically 80’s movie, “Mystic Pizza.” 

Nestled in Glen Mills Pa, just outside Philly, Terrain at Styers, a garden lover and foodie’s paradise welcomed us for this month’s Tucker & Co Team adventure. Terrain is a one-of-its-kind artfully curated shop that blends outdoor gardenscapes into an expertly curated gift shop with everything from garden-inspired decor, coffee table books, to specialty foods and candles. Aside from being a delight for the eyes, Terrain’s cafe connected to the store offers seasonally inspired, thoughtful dishes at their Cafe-Read on to hear about what we purchased and which dishes we had to try!

Summertime is in full swing! With August just around the corner, your summer bucket list might look like 1) watching the Olympics 2) listening to Sabrina Carpenter’s “Please, Please, Please,” or 3) maybe even trying to live out your own version of having a BRAT summer. If BRAT stands for Baked-fresh-daily, Real-fruit-smoothies, Allergen-friendly Treats, then we’re having a BRAT summer too. New for the 2024 summer market season, we said goodbye to our one-of-its-kind popup shop trailer and welcomed in our new super-mobile, custom- painted food truck! While we will miss the cute scalloped facade of the pop-up trailer, we are thrilled to be bringing our new truck to local markets- making it even easier to deliver nourishing goodies to the community.

Local artist, Virginia Masland shared her musical talent with us during our last backyard concert at the cafe and is gracious enough to share some of her musical journey with us for this week’s blog Q&A. Friday night, artists Joey Knouse and Virginia Masland headlined our outdoor concert series for June, playing right here in the backyard of the cafe. We believe music is a joining force, with the ability to bring strangers together for a shared experience, one of the reasons we host monthly concerts!

Tucked into central PA, it can be easy to forget that our small town is just a 3-hour-drive (or Amtrak ride) to New York City- and while it may be considered “the greatest city in the world” for theater, shopping or site-seeng, it also does not miss when it comes to gluten free food. Matcha is known for its unmistakable green color and earthy flavor. When combined with milk and sweetener, it makes for the perfect coffee shop purchase. We offer three matcha drinks on the menu, Classic Matcha, Mountains & Waves, and the newly added Maui Matcha.

There are a lot of ways to drink your coffee. If you're like me, the options blend together - I mean, how many different ways can you combine milk, water, and coffee grounds and still have a different drink?

Isaac and I recently had the chance to treat ourselves to a lovely getaway in Bethlehem, PA. We stopped in a bunch of shops and restaurants in town, leaving with some exciting purchases and recommendations if you ever find yourself in this part of Pennsylvania. Here's a glimpse into what kept us busy in Bethlehem!

Being a mom and owning the café are two of my proudest accomplishments, both equally challenging and rewarding in their own ways.

We got a new panini press for the café! The story behind it, however, is not completely one of excitement, rather problem solving and adaptability.

Owning a small business allows me to dream big and work every day to reach my goals for the café. There is a constant need to innovate and project a vision, both short and long-term, into the operations at the café, which is a fun and creative challenge.

Foster care and adoption is something Isaac and I are very passionate about. Our son Xayvion came into our lives through foster care and in 2021, we welcomed him to our family through adoption. In fact, my family celebrated the three year anniversary of Xayvion's adoption this past weekend!

Tucker&Co is located in Dillsburg, a place where small-town charm meets rich history. I have lived in Dillsburg (almost) my entire life and it is where I am raising my family and growing my business.

Our friends over at Presidents Coffee had their Latte Art Throwdown this past Friday in Gettysburg, so Tucker&Co took a team outing to put our latte art skills to the test and have some fun with friends!

One of my favorite bands of all time, JOSEPH, is on tour and they recently made a stop on our side of town. My husband and I bought tickets for their concert a while back and the day ended up being even more special than we could have imagined!
