Rolling to a Market near you- all about our new Food Truck!
New for the 2024 summer market season, we said goodbye to our one-of-its-kind popup shop trailer and welcomed in our new super-mobile, custom- painted food truck! Our bakery has experienced many eras since it first began, like a name-change (shoutout to our OG fans of Sunshine Bakery), an ingredient overhaul (to be entirely gluten free!), to the roll-out of our bakery trailer built entirely by Isaac in 2018… each serving a special purpose in getting us further along in our journey and dreams! While we will miss the cute scalloped facade of the pop-up trailer, we are thrilled to be bringing our new truck to local markets- making it even easier to deliver nourishing goodies to the community.
Carlisle fans- it’s your turn to experience the “cafe on wheels” every week at Farmer’s on the Square. It’s been a goal of ours to be able to serve up our extended menu (including refreshing drinks, and artisan yogurt bowls) in addition to the tasty baked treats we’ve been bringing for years, and now it’s a reality! Aboard the truck you’ll find iced coffee and chai- *new* iced matcha, real-fruit smoothies, pints of local vegan, GF ice cream (crafted by Honey Bear), and extra-special yogurt bowls topped with house-made granola, local fruit and honey, and an oat butter drizzle! All our cool menu options are a perfect pick-me-up amidst outdoor shopping in the PA summer heat. We’re also working toward offering sundae scoops of Honey Bear Ice Cream- hopefully to be added by the end of summer.
Want to know more about our truck’s journey to being “road-ready?” We purchased the 1987 box truck in March of this year and have spent the last few months getting it ready- inside and out- finishing up interior renos, restoring the mechanics, and making it our own with painting and exterior design. Like much in our business, it’s been a team effort- with Isaac pitching in with his handi-work, our cafe manager, Sarah, designing the unique visuals for the exterior, and Laura from @TheLettergrain bringing our creative concepts to life with her hand-painting! Her hand-painted detail-work is exquisite; make sure to take a closer look while you’re waiting for your Very Berry Smoothie!
Having the truck allows us to more easily expand our reach to new events across central PA. So far, the farthest we’ve traveled is to Lancaster- but keep an eye on our social media to see where we’ll be rolling up next in the months ahead!
In the meantime, you can find the truck every week at both the Dillsburg Farmer’s Market at Dill’s Tavern, Saturday mornings from 8 am- noon, and Farmers on the Square in Carlisle- Wednesdays, from 3-7 pm. Spot our sunshiney yellow and white truck with “Greetings from Tucker & Co;” we can’t wait for you to see it!
