2025 Ins/Outs

January: do you have a love/hate relationship with it? Do you love the cozy comfort-food filled snow days but avoid the fresh nudge it gives us to re-access what is (and isn’t) working in our lives? Like everything in life, with a little balance, you can acknowledge what needs to change while simultaneously applauding all the work you’ve already been doing. Use this new year’s awareness to assess with kindness how you might just be able to enjoy life even more. Here is our list of Ins and Outs for the year… use it for your own inspiration or take a minute to make your own. You might be surprised where it leads!

IN: Hydrating more (water, what a concept)

OUT: Exclusively drinking iced oat milk matcha (b a l a n c e)

IN: Taking time for Sabbath (rest)

OUT: Working seven days a week…. (because there will always be more work to do)

IN: Only checking Instagram three times a day (setting screen limits that nudge you to stop)

OUT: Constantly checking instagram to see if the last thing we posted went viral (spoiler alert:

          it didn’t)

IN: Almond milk in hot drinks (personally)

OUT: Steaming oat milk because science and seed oils

(did you know Oat Milk contains rapeseed oil- another name for canola oil which when heated releases high levels of aldehydes (highly reactive molecules that damage your cells)– these processed seed oils are comprised of Omega 6- a type of fat which has been linked to contributing to inflammation and disease in the body. BUT not all fats are detrimental to your body- Omega 3 fatty acids actually have the opposite effect.)

IN: Having a monthly baking schedule/menu (check our baked goods menu on our site to see what we’ll have in the case each week!)

OUT: Baking whatever we want on the fly

IN: Going to Bed at 10pm (try it, you’ll like it)

OUT: Waking up Tired (sleep really is the cheapest most effective medicine!)

Maybe you’ll join us in a few of ours or maybe you’ll just choose one of your own to stick to for the time being. These lists are meant to be guides, not hard fast rules of living. Give yourself the nudge to create new patterns in your life but also give yourself some grace if you don’t hit the marks 100% of the time.
