What’s Happening in Our Garden

Spring is upon us and there are LOTS of yummy things beginning to sprout up. Here in Dillsburg, some of our favorite fruits and vegetables are in season and we’ve been excited to use them in our recipes. Mushrooms, pea shoots and strawberries are some of the many fruits and veggies we’ve been creatively incorporating in our food.

Our spring panini is full of locally grown, fresh and in-season treats - pea shoots and mushrooms being the stars (in our opinion). We planted some strawberries in our garden that are soon to be a lovely and sweet addition to our seasonal dessert options. Additionally, as we get closer to summer, you’ll likely start seeing more and more fresh seasonal fruits popping up in our bakery items and desserts.

Of our homegrown, backyard ingredients, fruit is only the beginning. We are planting another patch of wildflowers in the backyard of the bakery this spring! We might even have some edible flowers this season too. We’re looking forward to growing more and more fresh and delicious foods and herbs to share with you all! What’s happening in your garden this season?
