Farmer’s Fair Season is Upon Us!
Come one, come all, to Dillsburg’s most heralded event, the social scene of the year, the 2024 Farmer’s Fair! Join us downtown, with special extended hours, special menu items, and a front row seat for all of the action. With school closed on Friday, the main street closed to vehicular traffic, and activities slotted all day, all weekend long, there will be no shortage of reasons to come downtown! It’s the closest thing to a town-wide holiday! Celebrating its 109th year, the fair holds a special place in the heart of all Dillsburgians and we can’t wait to welcome you into the shop, and be a small part of your fair experience! We also want to give a huge congratulations to our very own Tucker and Co team member, Rebecca Purnell, on being crowned this year’s Fair Queen!
Here’s everything you need to know about where to find us and what we’ll be serving this weekend!
The cafe will be open 8 am-8pm BOTH Friday and Saturday!
Our food truck will be at the Dillsburg’s Farmer’s Market at the Dill’s Tavern from 8 am- noon along with our other fellow vendors and some extra activities for families and history buffs! Find us here for baked goods, real fruit smoothies, and coffee.
The cafe will have our full beverage menu (including our october drink specials) and a limited, special, food menu! Now let’s get into the delicious details!
Introducing the “Walking Waffle”- our classic (gluten and dairy free) waffle with a twist- it’s served in quarters, easy to hold in hand while continuing on in your exploration of the fair. Perfect for carrying to the bleachers to watch live music, eating on the sidelines of the parade, or for splitting with your sister, friend, child, or uncle (because we know the fair begs to sample many foods!)
We’ll be having not one, but two waffle options! (perfect for any time of day!)
Sweet- Waffle covered with Warm Apples, Cinnamon and maple syrup (gf/df)
Savory- Waffle served with Chicken Gravy (gf, contains butter)
If you try both waffle variations on Friday but are still longing for a visit to Tucker and Co Saturday morning, in pursuit of another freshly prepared meal, the Breakfast Sandwich will also be on the menu for you! A long standing customer favorite, our breakfast sandwich is made with local cheese, eggs, and bacon served between gf or sourdough bread! Also great for eating on the move!
For those crisp fall mornings and evenings stop in for one of our scratch made Pumpkin Spice, Pumpkin Pie Cream, or Harvest (golden milk) lattes! All are perfect for sipping under the twinkling lights!
In the Bakery case, you’ll find pumpkin chocolate chip scones, oat chocolate chip bars, blueberry cinnamon muffins, and classic chocolate chip cookies!
If you couldn’t tell by the sheer number of exclamation points alone, we at Tucker and Co are very excited for our town’s annual community-unifying event, where you’ll be sure to find friends of old, see the happy face of a child making a core memory, and satisfy some delicious fall cravings!
